It was just posted on FB that the this year's ATS Conference has been cancelled. I'm copying Christian's announcement for all those interested:

Christian Elowsky wrote:
It is with a heavy heart that the American Tarantula Society must announce that there will not be a conference this summer. The organization has suffered losses of volunteers and resources which have far outstripped the efforts of those which remain. It was not an easy decision to come to, and we greatly regret it. We hope hobbyists are able to share information and enjoy their hobby in the space left with this loss. We assume offers of aid will be forthcoming, but sadly we are past the time for action. Thank you for 16 wonderful conferences. - Christian Elowsky, ATS President

Sorry to hear about the cancelling. I've only be on here since Feb. 2013 & haven't had the pleasure of attending any of the conferences. Hopefully things will go better & another conference will be held next year.

I'm so sorry to hear about that! Even if I'm living sooooo far away from USA...

I wish I could help! Here in Switzerland, we don't have such chances to attend good conferences about tarantulas. Maybe one day...

Anyway, all the best and hope you'll find forces to organise something in the following years...
