Kyle,

I believe those picture are the best I have ever seen to demonstrate ventral sexing. Thank you.

Based upon personal experience, I can tell you that your L. violaceopes looks very female to me. I don't want to venture a guess with your other specimens, as my ventral sexing abilities are not the best. It's pretty easy with the Lv's, as there is a very distinct and obvious difference between the males and the females (very similar to Poecilotheria). Hopefully someone with more experience will chime in to assist you.

Here is a blurry pic of my male for comparison:
Image
The shot focuses on his fangs, but if you look down, there is a very obvious dot in the region of the epiandrous fusilae.

Here's ventral picture of a red color form Grammostola rosea. I do not know the sex.

Any guesses?

I'm going to try for a better shot.

Thanks.

Female. Spacing on the book lungs, the fourth pair of walking legs and the undefined epigastric furrow says it all.

Kilted_One what is it about the legs that say female?

Thanks for your opinion too.

On a female the coxa of the fourth pair of walking legs are just slightly farther apart than on a male. With a male the coxa of the fourth pair almost touch, and with a female there is a slight gap.

This is the only good ventral shot I could find, and it's a female. I'll see if I can get a good picture of my male for comparison.
