Just purchased my FIRST tarantula (a female Rosehair I was told) from Petco for $9. I went a bit overboard on her habitat but am planning to modify it in awhile to make the space from her substrate to the top alot shorter (in case of a fall). So far she isn't bothered a bit by the somewhat damp (not bone dry) substrate. I even captured a pic of her drinking from her water bowl. I worked in a Petco for over three years and have never seen one drink out of a dish before! As soon as I figure out how to post a pic of her on this site I will.
