CRIS aka CalRIS is a new society that expands on and works with existing regional clubs and societies in California. This group is not exclusively Tarantula based so there is room for discussion of just about any invert or reptile you can think of.

Mission Statement:
""We at the California Reptile and Invertebrate Society strive to promote a message of education, conservation and appreciation for all species of reptiles, amphibians, and captive invertebrates, while supporting California herpetological and related societies, rescue organizations and nurturing captive propagation and husbandry efforts of individual hobbyists."
