i received this hands free magnifying lens today from mike (Nerri1029) on AB ..not sure if he is on these boards. tried taking a few pics through it...didn't come out as good as i had hoped..but i think they could be better if i perfected my technique. particularly get more lighting..i only had my ceiling yellowish light and a single soft white flourescent bulb next to it...have to dig out another one and put it on the other side. by the way, its from a p imperator thats body was just short of 3/4". here they are..

Not too bad man! Mess around with your macro settings and you should be able to get one you like sooner or later. I do this too for my super tiny inverts, as my macro just isnt good enough for super tiny objects up close.

hah thanks guys. i'll be working on it i took some of a vagans exuvium..i guess i shouldn't post them here. they came out a little better ...i actually just took a sheet of aluminum foil..the glossier side and used it as a mirror for the light basically...but i'm sure two lights will work much better.
