so my dad brought home this tiny little scorpion from the pet shop and even the pet shop dose not know what kind it is. I'm worried it is something dangerous.

its so small that i couldn't get the camera to focus on it. this is the best pic i could get. that's my dads hand in the pic.

It might be Vaejovis spinigerus, but really hard to tell from such a poor pic, so it's just a guess. But for me it doesn't look like species with very dangerous venom, so I think you have nothing to worry about.

I can't really tell from such a blurry pic but I'm gonna throw my vote at harmless. It is likely to be a Vaejovid, slight possibility that it's Hoffimanius/Vaejovis spinigerous but I'm not gonna put my money on that.

thanks i will keep trying to get a better pic. but just you saying you dont think it dangerous is a relief to me. now just got to figure out what kinda set up it would like.

my dad is almost 60 and you would think he would be smart enough to research before bring things home.

Have you IDed that scorpion yet? To me it looks like either V. spinigerus, V. confusus, V. coahuilae, or COULD be a young Hadrurus arizonensis pallidus form. Notice the darker crescent on the carapace.

So if you if still and can send a new pic, w can get it from there.
