its been an interesting few weeks ill tell ya between wrangling for the filming of a public service announcement to signing contracts with discovery channel and spider stuff in between oi
at the shop we noticed there was a woodlouse killer living in Kens communal regalis tank the other day. dont ask us how it managed to get in there but it seems happy with the rollypollys in the tank n seems to care less bout the regalis
the aliens landed and demanded we give them flies
i think these were Texas unicorn mantids but i could be wrong i dont pay much attention to em
saw a 2 spotted assassin freshly molted
bred irminia
gave my Burmese Brown a skull to play with
i think she likes it cause she wont let me have it back
Princess Yarr my GBB set up
she had a hot date loaned to me
and it was neat to see them drumming back n forth almost right away
after 5 hrs though it was getting tiresome and i fell asleep, when i woke up hrs later the guy was waiting for me near the top to be removed
hopefully this year these will produce something
Grumpy wanted to eat the poor boy after only 2 matings sooooo ive got me fingers crossed
i just cant get enough of his beauty P. 'plattyomma'
this pairing went pretty much the same as the first one a couple days before hrs n hrs n hrs n hrs of flirting with one another till i fell asleep:rolleyes:

went camping at Pinnacles National Monument one night earlier this week and must say it was amazing place n i got to see one of the 188 California Condors known to be in the wild. nature photos (none of the condor) can be seen here http://miketroll-pinnacles.buzznet.com/user/photos/but i wanted to share the pic of the undescribed species of Vaejovis we saw blacklighting

one of the irminia slings seemed eager to be separated thank goodness these were content to just sit on the lid n wait for me to scoop em up one by one. mama Hysterocrates coming out of her burrow regalis paired up, the males in my older colony have matured the Texas Blotched Heros we borrowed for a shoot look i taught it to wave for our next trick we will need an ambulance (jk)

If people didn't get some sort of rush from experimenting with hazardous things this world would probably be a lot more dangerous to live in!

the wasps in the oleanders along the driveway where i take my breaks when im at the shop one of the Neoscona sp orbweaver that also live along the driveway African Tiger centipede molting it was amazing how he ended up here, usually the big guy wants a piece of me but when a hungry grrl is chasing him hes more then willing to fly through the air out of her container and land on my hand then refuse to get off. its Susanne's turn to mate, she molted months after the others i have on sacs now but the guys are still making sperm webs so hopfully their sperms are still viable
