molting?

it appears that the(skin)on both my empereor scorpions is splitting,so to speak,like they have grown too big for it.they are happy n healthy n active.i know im not crazy hahaha they definitely dont look the same.you can see white around all their joints and i didnt know for sure how the molting process works.is there more than one way?any info greatly appreciated
